    Hi, Pastor Randy,
    Couldn’t vs 29 just be referring to Pauls parenthetical in vs 16-28.
    Couldn’t baptism here mean to put yourself into a situation to cause death and doing it for a dead man.
    Why would you want to martyr yourself for someone who is still dead? What hope would there be in that. If Christ didn’t rise you might as well make the most of this life as Paul said in his parenthetical.
    Just thought instead of actual water baptism he is talking about baptism being something you are placing yourself in, immersion into a situation where you will die for nothing…
    Just a thought.
